"The Flintstone Flyer" is the first episode of the first season of The Flintstones. It aired on September 30, 1960 on ABC.
Synopsis[edit | edit source]
Fred fakes being sick so he and Barney can get out of taking their wives to the opera, because the night is the same as their Bowling Championship. The two use Barney's home-made, flying machine, which Fred dons the "Flintstone Flyer", to get to the bowling. They almost get away with their plans until Barney accidentally slips up.
